Septembre 2018 – Brèves

• Un juge pour aider instaurer la dictature aux USA — Pour le numéro d’octobre, le candidat de Trump pour la cours suprême, Brett Kavanaugh, sera déjà passé, sauf s’il y a un coup d’Etat “de gauche” (très peu probable) ou un coup d’éclat politique de la part de quelques Républicains importants (plutôt connus pour le manque de courage). Alors, qui c’est cette personne d’extrême droit ? Le tout dernier scandale lors d’une réunion publique récente, il a refusé de serre la main d’un père d’un jeune abattu lors du massacre au lycée de Parkland en Floride. Et le Senat, qui doit décider sur qui est ce monsieur t Kavanaugh n’aura pas le droit, d’après une décision de Trump et ses copains, de lire que 10% des archives du gouvernement américain concernant Kavanaugh qui a servi des années sous Bush père et à aider à mener l’enquête sur Président Bill Clinton et Monica Lewinsky. S’il est à la Cours suprême, bon jour l’extension des pouvoirs présidentielles, et au revoir les droits de femmes (l’avortement inclus), les droits des LGBT, les droits syndicaux, l’Obamacare, la protection de l’environnement, etc.

• La violence promise — Lilliana Mason, prof de sciences politiques à l’université de Maryland à College Park, où elle étudie l’extrémisme politique croissant aux Etats-Unis, a clairement dit (20 août, Alternet) : “Je suis inquiète concernant la possibilité de violence entre Démocrates et Républicains dans l’avenir et je n’ai rien vu pour le moment qui l’empêcherait d’arriver.” Trump, d’un autre perspective, est d’accord : “Si les Républicains perd contrôle du Congrès, les Démocrates feront des changements ‘rapidement et avec violence’” (New York Times, 28 août).

• CIA contre Trump — Le 15 août, Trump a revoqué l’habilitation de sécurité de l’ancien directeur de la CIA sous Abama, John Brennan, qui critiquait Trump publiquement. “On en a eu assez. Foutez le camp ! Trump n’est pas un roi” : déclaration publique d’un ancien officier de la CIA adressé à un fan de Trump, cité par CNN le 18 août. Le même jour, le Huffington Post a cité Brennan qui déclaré que Trump “s‘est soulé avec le pouvoir” et est un homme “dangereux”. Le 20 août, le Washington Post déclare que “un groupe bipartie de plus d’une douzaine d’anciens chefs du renseignement a condamné l’action de Trump et ils ont été vite rejoints par plus de 60 “officials” pour un total de 170 de plus signatures du document original. C’est pour quand le coup d’Etat de la CIA ?

• Audrey a 11 ans et elle a mis 10 minutes à la Convention des hackers à Las Vagase en juillet pour casser et changer les résultats de l’ordinateur du système de vote de l’Etat de Floride.

• Le 17 août, Martha Bishara, une grand-mère de 87 ans d’origine syrienne qui comprenais mal l’anglais, coupait des pissenlits avec un couteau près de chez elle à Chatsworth en Géorgie, les Etats-Unis. Des flics lui ont demandé de lâcher son couteux et comme elle n’a pas obtenturé, ils l’ont taserée et l’arrêtée. Leur chef les a soutenus dans leur action de “protection du public”.
